The Board of Directors of the Toussaint Louverture Historical Society requests the honor of your presence at their Sunday Brunch with Ambassador Pierre Richard Prosper on Sunday March 3, 2002 from 10:30 am to 2:00 p.m. at the Grand Hyatt Regency Hotel, 1100 H Street, NW,Washington D.C.

The Toussaint Louverture Historical Society is a not for profit organization dedicated to the preservation and dissemination of information on the life and achievements of General Toussaint Louverture, the pioneer of the Haitian Revolution.

Black History Month is an opportunity for the Toussaint Louverture Historical Society to combine the reflections of Haitian ancestry and heritage with the present achievements of outstanding individuals of Haitian decent.

The Society will honor Ambassador Pierre Richard Prosper, US Ambassador at-large for his accomplishments as the recipient of the first annual "Toussaint Louverture Excellence Award". This first time award was conceived to pay tribute to excellence in leadership, pride and achievement. Ambassador Prosper is the first Haitian-American to hold the post of United States Ambassador at-large.
